Description:
Ghost Mantis Nymphs available, which has molted at least twice
This tropical species is great for beginners, and when kept well fed will
also live in groups with little aggression, though I do suggest separation after
final molt or if on vacation and unable to feed the little beasts every other day
This is a non-native species that should Not be released outside for pest
control, and since mantises are sight based predators they often eat the
pollinators instead of the pests when they are large, so do little to benefit
the garden beyond their alien-like presence.
Do Not Use for Pest Control
beyond letting them hunt flies from a pesticide-free indoor window area
They are used for Indoor soil gnat and fruit fly control at
younger
ages, and will
also eat pantry moths as they mature. It is best to feed them flying insects, as
the mantids mostly wait hanging from the top of an enclosure for food to pass
by, but they can also be hand fed if approached slowly, as they can be very shy!
Ghosts are a docile species that prefer to play dead as opposed to attacking
like many species do. They don't often mismolt, and have a lovely "i'm a leaf"
funky dance. Right now feeding on D hydei flightless flies, and a
t larger sizes
I suggest red runners or flies over crickets.
